Hotend Portal

This a companion board to the Markforged Mark Two Interface PCB project to convert the printer to a RepRap compatible 3D printer running Klipper / Duet3D / Marlin etc. If converted this way, this board also allows for a custom direct drive extruder based hotend instead of the dual bowden setup (one for the plastic and the other for the fiber) found on the Mark Two.

It can also be used independently (with appropriate jumper soldering) and no conversion of the rest of the electronics. Would of course require a small hotend rebuild for the Mark Two. It is able to expand its capabilities to other materials and works by tuning the PT1000 thermistor for any desired extrusion temperature. This can allow you to print other materials like PLA, TPU etc while Eiger continues to think that it is printing Onyx at 270ºC.
