Event Details

1. The project must be open-source and user-replicable. This includes both schematics and PCB files. If the project has source code and 3D design files, it should also be open source.
2.Entries are only allowed to be designed using the EasyEDA Pro edition and can not be imported from other EDA tools. It is also prohibited to use the EasyEDA std edition.EasyEDA Pro is the exclusive design tool for this event.
3. Participants must finish one project before submitting subsequent entries, and the OSHWLab Stars can only fund one project at a time.
4. Projects sponsored by OSHWLab stars can not be withdrawn since EasyEDA pays for them. If you delete your entry, they will be automatically backed up to the official account for read-only access. If you aren't willing to contribute your creations, please do not participate in the OSHWLab stars.
5. The entry must be a fully functional project, just like a usable product. Such as dev boards are not allowed to participate in this event.
6. All projects should not be harmful to humanity, such as lethal weapons or environmentally hazardous devices.
7. Your entries must be permitted to be reposted on OSHWHUB.COM, our sister site.
8. Projects also support collaboration if you're working on a virtual (or real) team. Projects allow external links to resources.

FAQ

Q. Why does OSHWLab Stars only fund materials from JLCPCB and LCSC?
A. We can't ensure the prices from other suppliers are reasonable, so we only support the materials we have. Furthermore, we currently have a significant supply of resources.
Q. What should I do if there are not enough components from LCSC?
A. We encourage you to purchase from other sources.
Q. Is it possible to purchase materials from other suppliers?
A. If JLCPCB and LCSC can not provide what you need, you can purchase from other channels. However, please note that it is not within the scope of our funding.
Q. Who owns the copyright of the project?
A. The project's designer.
Q. Can participants sell their products?
A. Yes, JLCPCB will support them in production and manufacturing.
Q. Is the shipping coupon available?
A. No, we cannot offer it. You must pay the shipping fee and a minimum product fee of $1, primarily for customs clearance purposes.
Q. Why do we offer PCBA services instead of PCB and components separately?
A. Offering PCBA services reduces shipping costs and simplifies customs clearance processing. Above all, we value your time.
Q. How long will OSHWLab Stars last?
A. We haven't decided when OSHWLab Stars will end; it might be one or two decades. It is a long-term event.
