Description
The project is a controller based on the ESP32-C3 microcontroller, designed for synchronized blinking cat ears. These ears are a playful and visually engaging wearable that feature lights capable of blinking in synchronized patterns, making them a fun accessory for cosplay, parties, or just adding a touch of whimsy to your day. The controller leverages the ESP32-C3's robust capabilities to manage the synchronization and control of the blinking patterns, ensuring a smooth and coordinated light display.
Although the project is still a work in progress, it already showcases promising functionality and potential for creative customizations. Currently, the hardware setup includes the ESP32-C3 module as the core processor. This microcontroller was chosen due to its excellent performance in handling wireless communication and real-time processing, while also being energy-efficient—a key consideration for wearable devices. The system uses LEDs integrated into the cat ears, with the synchronization handled via software that is tailored specifically for this application.
The software, which forms the backbone of this project, is open-source and available for anyone interested in contributing or learning from the code. You can find it on GitHub at: https://github.com/zebreus/rudelblinken. The repository contains everything needed to get started, including setup instructions, code files, and basic troubleshooting guides.
Future updates are planned to improve functionality, refine synchronization accuracy, and enhance the user experience. More pictures and detailed documentation will also be added to showcase the hardware setup, assembly process, and real-world usage examples. These additions aim to make it easier for others to replicate or build upon the design.
This project combines creativity, technology, and open-source collaboration, and I’m excited to see how it evolves over time. Stay tuned for more updates and enhancements!
