Description

Description

Midrange Scoop is a parametric-equalizer circuit centering on the mid-range of the audio spectrum. It can either boost the midrange frequencies or "scoop" (cut) them out, for that "grunge", "death-metal" or "black-metal" hard rock sound, based around a dual-opamp TL072 and all thru-hole parts.

*

Add it into your signal chain, such as; an existing guitar foot pedal or new foot pedal design.

You could make it a stand-alone foot pedal, also, by adding a foot switch and jacks.

Connections are simple: +Voltage (+9v to +12v dc), Ground, Audio In, Audio Out.

Controls set the midrange Frequency and the Range of the boost/scoop.

*

I have built and tested this same circuit before, but this is a new layout using EasyEDA, so it is unverified.
