Description

The Project is a PCB design for a 100Gb/s Transmitter. The unpackaged chip is meant to be mounted on a high speed rogers pcb all its pins except the output (100Gbs) shall be connected on the PCB.

The input pins for the high speed data are connected through 50 Ohm transmission lines and 20 GHz SMA pads, whereas the low frequency pads are connected through Decoupling capacitors and low frequency SMA connectors. The PCB dimensions are 150mmx 170mm.

It remains to determine the feasible PCB to chip separation ( currently set to 3.5mm), size of soldering bumps as well as tapered transmission lines dimensions image.png
