Description
Mikro Control Board
This ultra small board is just 22.4*20mm, the same size as your thumb.
PCB Ruler for scale
All the connections are exposed on the bottom side of the board since the top side is tight packed with all components.
To keep it beginner friendly the pads have a pitch of at least 1.5mm.
Features:
The micro size can be deceiving, this is packed with ton of features, may be a bit too much.
- 4x Motor drivers
- 4x Servo outputs
- 4x Led lights
- 1x Speaker output
Extras:
- Integrated li-ion charging
- Software power control
- voltage sensing
- 6 axis IMU
What can you build
- Micro drift car
- Brushed Quadcopter
- Tiny line follower robot
- Self balancing robot
- Micro RC scale models
And much more
Notes:
- The board needs a battery to function, even for uploading code a battery needs to be connected
- Connect or disconnect the antenna only after powering off the board
Project Origins:
Recently after the success of Dragon Railway, we wanted to expand the ecosystem to micro RC trucks also (1/64 scale). We need a control board for it. The Tracklink V2 is suitable for the locomotives, but it is big for the trucks.
Currently there aren't much options available for small robots. At these small sizes, it is not possible to use developement boards and breakout boards; Each and every millimeter counts.
So the obvious choice was to develop our own board.
I added a few extra features so that it can be used for other tiny projects too.
- This project's PCB and PCBA service was sponsored by the OSHWLAB Stars campaign.
- Prototype was completed in May 2025.
