This is a breakout board for the SC16IS750, a handy chip used to convert I2C or SPI serial signals to a single-channel, high-performance UART. This is a SC16IS750 adapter board with I2C bus / SPI interface, 64-byte sending and receiving FIFO and built-in IrDA single UART. SC16IS750 I2C bus / SPI bus interface, single-channel high performance UART provides up to 5Mbit / s data rate, low operation and sleeping current; It also provided eight additional programmable I/O pins for the application. The device contains a tiny 24 foot HVQFN and TSSOP package, making it ideal for portable and battery-operated applications. SC16IS750 offers other advanced features, such as automatic hardware and software flow control, automatic RS-485 support and software reset. This allows the software reset UART at any time, which has nothing to do with the hardware reset signal.
