Description
This is a HAT, for common components to assemble a NAT server.
Components used;
Raspberry PI Zero
PoE Ethernet/USB HUB HAT I used one from waveshare. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B092VX8W4V
Adafruit Ultimate GPS v3
DS3231 RTC module
5.5v 1.5F supercap
A 3.3v 1A LDO of some sort, use just one, I used https://www.tindie.com/products/cburgess129/33v1a-3-pin-linear-voltage-regulator-wpolyfuse/
Originally intended for 12v POE in near H5, with an ethernet carrier board on the bottom of the pi. switched to POE + ethernet board because the 5v LDO board I was using was getting too hot. A few images of the pre change assmebly at https://twitter.com/drahcir_rahl/status/1583997918809579521
Attached are files with more info.
Please note, use of USB GPS or WIFI connections will make for an inaccurate NTP server. That is why this was built to use serial and Ethernet.
