DIY Clap Switch

My version of a clap switch to turn (almost) anything on and off by clapping your hands. The clapping sound can be detected from the ATMega85 by monitoring pin 2 (A1)

The load is switched on and off using a common 5V relay, driven by transistor Q1 with its base connected to pin 0 of the microcontroller

All components are through hole for easy assembling and they are available from LCSC, including the AC to DC converter to power this module directly from mains

Since this board is mains powered beware of dangerous high voltage!
