Description

Preface:

Previously, when testing hardware devices, I always encountered a problem. If I encountered a device that needed to be connected to a monitor, I would need to plug in and unplug my own monitor to display program parameters. However, I found this very inconvenient. Although there are already on-site test screens sold online, I thought, why not make one myself?

Basic parameters:

Power supply: 5V-2A

Rated power consumption: 2W~ 4.2W (peak power 4.8W)

Interface: HDMI2.0 is backward compatible with 1.4, Type-c single-line pass (not tested).

Display size: 14 inches

Resolution: 1366 * 768

Dimensions: length, width, and height 338 * 206 * 20mm

 

Hardware solution architecture:

System main power supply: four-in-one DC-DC scheme EA3059A has nothing to say, it has been used for a long time.

Backlight adjustment: GP9101 generates 5V PWM signal through level conversion chip output 3.3VPWM control backlight.

Backlight power supply: The actual test can directly use MT3608 as the main power supply, here F1 welding 1206-0Ω resistor, do not install self-recovery insurance, the actual test installation of self-recovery will lead to unstable DC-DC work.

The interface conversion uses LT8619C. The working status of LT8619 is controlled by PY32F002. PY32 needs to burn a program to work properly. Please refer to the attachment for the program.

About Type-C One-Line Pass: The principle is to use CS5265 as a display card to expand the display signal, and the output HDMI is selected by the analog switch. The computer interface needs to support full-speed Type-C and support video signal output before it can be used, because my computer Type-C interface is damaged, I can't continue to test it later. If a friend replicates the test successfully, please give feedback.

About PCB

The board is based on the conventional impedance structure design of JLC-04161-3313. Please use JLC to place an order and choose JLC-04161-3313 impedance structure 4-layer board with a thickness of 1.6mm and an impedance error of 20%.

About the shell:

Originally, I wanted to use CNC to manufacture the shell to achieve the engineering three-proof effect. Yes, at the beginning of this project, I planned to make a three-proof display. However, due to the high cost of JLC review, it could not pass, so as an alternative solution, 3D light-curing printing was used. But I still recommend using CNC for better structural strength. The screwdriver is the M2 shell processing file, see attachment.

Screen:

The screen model is B140XW01_V8/V9, which is a screen used for laptops. The screen costs 45 yuan per piece on Taobao, and the cost performance is super high.

Adapter screen cable:

0.5Mm pitch 200mm 40P same direction.
