#### Overview: Upgrading the stock FM chip (BK1080) in your Quansheng UV XX radio to the SI4732 chip offers an exciting enhancement: access to shortwave frequencies. This modification expands the capabilities of your radio #### Capabilities - Worldwide FM band support (64–108 MHz) - Worldwide AM band support (520–1710 kHz) - SW band support (2.3–26.1 MHz) - LW band support (153–279 kHz) - ect. The SI4732 chip can receive AM/FM/SW/LW/RDS/**LSB**/USB (and more ig?) signals. By replacing the original fm chip with this chip in your Quansheng radio, you'll gain the ability to tune into shortwave bands, where a vast array of international broadcasts, **amateur radio transmissions**, and more stations can be found. The process of swapping out the default BK1080 FM chip for the SI4732 chip is not too hard, then again im not you. you need semi-basic technical skills?
