Description
The C64H - Heritage Edition is an open source project. Features that I missed in the original Commodore C64 have been incorporated into my development. Preserving the original C64 chipset was very important to me. Emulation via FPGA, Raspberry Pi, etc. was out of the question for me!
Features of the C64H
– Original C64 chipset
– 50% smaller circuit board area than the original C64
– 8 operating systems such as JiffyDOS, SpeedDOS+, DolphinDOS, etc., switchable via push button and displayed via 7-segment LED display
– Internal, second user port (e.g. for WIC-64)
– Modern video interfaces such as S-Video, composite video, and optional HDMI
– Lumafix for reducing jail bars
– Stereo audio output (RCA) – (mono-bridged)
– Optional SRAM replacement
– 9-volt AC power supply (original C64 power supply optional)
– 4 DC/DC voltage converters with additional filtering for separate power supply to VIC, SID, CPU, and peripherals
– 5-volt protection circuit to protect the original C64 chipset from overvoltage
– Connections for internal or external keyboard and parallel cable
– 3D-printed housing
