Description

Customized OnStep telescope mount controller based on original MAXPCB2 design on Teensy3.6. 
1) The PCB is designed to use a split aluminum enclosure 120x49x130 (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004920745362.html). Dedicated front and back panels are also available for a nice integration (https://oshwlab.com/marcolorenzi/frontpanel).
2)  Minimized the wiring, all additional PCB directly mounted via headers/pinstrips
3)  All stepper outputs on PCB uses standard HX sockets (good for easy testing). HX wired connectors to SP13 waterproof (IP68) 4 pole panel connectors for high current delivery (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000057522634.html)
4)  Focuser & Rotator goes to a stacked RJ45 PCB connector (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002745268200.html). Wiring is compatible with Starlight Motor pinout, i.e. a Starlight HSM motors can be directly plugged with a standard RJ45 cable.
5)  GPS is fully integrated on PCB. With a jumper it is possible to select the main PPS source of ONSTEP between the GPS and the DS3231. 
6)  BME280 environmental sensor connector is also integrated with a dedicated 4pin header on the main PCB.
7)  The WeMos D1 used is the PRO version with the external antenna. It needs to be modified to be used (a tiny SMD resistor on the WeMos PCB has to be relocated)
8)  Pec, homing and limit inputs all have pullup resistors and are optoisolated to use a broad range of sensor types. Each of these inputs with its own specific power voltage (5V or Vin voltages selectable on PCB per input) and related Ground connection. 
9)  Pec, homing and limit inputs all have dedicated 3.5mm stereo sockets on stacked connectors (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002966652908.html). Four sockets in parallel are dedicated to the limit inputs (eg. RA+/RA-/DEC+/DEC- or emergency buttons). 
10) The Reticle input of the original MAXPCB2 is permanently converted to be used as OneWire input and accepts one or more external DS18B20 temperature sensors (focuser, mirror etc). It has as well a dedicated 3.5mm stereo socket which provides +5V and Ground in addition to the data line and integrated the proper 4.7k pull-up resistor for direct sensor connection. OneWire conversion requires modification of ONSTEP "Config.h" to be effective (add "#define OneWirePin 22" code line just above "#define TELESCOPE_TEMPERATURE DS1820" command line in "// SENSORS" block, as config.h attached)
11) OKI Voltage regulators 5V and 12V have double picth on the PCB to accomodate different versions (isolated and non isolated) and/or other regulators brands/models.
12) There is a 5V cooling fan pin output with a PCB trimmer in series for speed presetting.
