Description
This is an old convector smarter system.
The resistor heats the pipe thermostat, and the convector does not turn on when it is heating.
Heating can be turned off with an external signal (thermostat), or the Auto/manual switch.
To implement the control, a two-wire room thermostat needs to be connected to the device. If desired, the device control can also be integrated into a smart home system. By heating the probe of the gas convector, it "tricks" the gas valve of the convector, causing it to shut off and stop heating. When the room temperature drops below the value set on the room thermostat, based on the signal from the room thermostat, the device removes the heating from the gas convector’s pipe thermostat, which then cools down (about 3-6 minutes) below the temperature set by the gas convector’s control knob. This allows the gas convector to turn on and start heating.
When the room temperature reaches the set value on the room thermostat, the thermostat sends a signal to the device, which heats the pipe thermostat (about 1-1.5 minutes) above the temperature set by the convector’s control knob, causing the gas convector to shut off.
