Description

Orion is a compact navigation PCB designed to integrate seamlessly with iPads running ForeFlight. It combines GPS, IMU, and a barometer into a single board. Its main purpose is to deliver flight data in a lightweight and portable form factor.

  • ESP32-S3-WROOM-1U-N16: Dual-core MCU, WiFi + Bluetooth 5.0

  • MAX-M8Q GPS: High-accuracy GNSS module 

  • ICM-20948: 9-axis IMU (accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer)

  • BMP581: Ultra-low noise barometric pressure sensor 

  • USB-C Connector: Native USB for programming & power

  • U.FL Antenna Port: External antenna support 

  • 3.3V LDO: Stable supply for ESP32 & sensors.

  • Boot & Reset Buttons: Easy programming and debugging.
