Electric Handbrake

Electric handbrake controller to convert conventional parking brake into electronic actuation. 

This controller uses a 250N 12V 30mm/S linear actuator coupled to the parking brake controller. It has direction control, current sensing and adjustable torque controlled in firmware. The controller provides an output to connect to where the handbrake switch would normally be to ensure the parking brake light still works on the vehicle dash board.

The 12V power input should have a 10A inline fuse installed for protection.

The MCU is based on the AVR Tiny 13, code is written in C compiled with Microchip AVR Studio.

The enclosure for the PCB is Evatron 6105FL.
