Description
PCB solders onto a CDS40048xx converter. Other side of converter mounts on a heat sink.
PCB provides EMI shielding, input and output filter caps, output V trim, and remote on/off control.
The CDS40048xx is a 2016 era part that is now discontinued. As of early 2024 there is good inverntory left for 28V versoin and some other votllages. 12V is getting hard to find.
The input range is 76-36VDC.
Multiple output voltages are available such as 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 28VDC. Last 2 digits are the output voltage model number.
I am using the 28V and 12V versions with this PCB. Consult the converter data sheet for appropriate part values, Parts such as filter caps use different values for each voltage output.
The BOM listed here is for 28V output.
The input and output voltage pads sizes accomodate soldering 10AWG size wire. Alternately you can use 6-32 screws, washers, toothed washer with a ring terminal crimped to #10. An extra set of pads are provided. Useful for daisy chaining the input among several modules or wiring multiple loads.
