Current source for holography laser

The goal of the project is to make the variable stable current source for laser for doing holograms.

Technical requirements:

- maximum current should not exceed 0.5-1 Amp

- smooth current adjustment

- power source is 2 x 18650 Li-Ion cells

- totally analogous circuit

Additional requirements:

- two regimes: with max current 1 Amp and 100 mA

- options to connect A- and V-meters on the load

- on/off by external signal (???)

As a reference I took this circuit
Ratio R1/R2 determines ratio of input and output currents.
