Description
uses a STM32H562RIV6, builtin usb connector and 10 pin IDC connector using same pinout as a cheap stlinkV2 clone so an easy direct connection can be made.
it has 2MB (16Mb) ROM and 640KB (5120kb) RAM so can store huge programs. it also has "math accelerators" for faster trigonometric operations for example. decent choice of MCU for large GUI projects.
really just meant to be a superior version of the common stm32 "bluepill" and "blackpill" boards. particularly useful if you have a student email for free samples from ST.
costs(per unit): around $2 if you can get the STM32H562RIV6 for free or around $10 if you can't.
I've tried to break out the most useful pins, and use as much of the remaining ones as possoble by routing it out to 3 LEDs and 2 tactile switches. only 4 pins remain unused.
obviously the sheer number of pins and tiny size make routing very difficult, and impossible for a 2 layer board. as JLCPCB does 8 layer boards for $2 i have decided to use 8 layers which is probably excessive.
WARNING: I AM YET TO TEST THIS BOARD IN HAND. hence the "ongoing" status.
