Description
An expansion of the Chaos Nand drone synthesizer. This one has been fine tuned so sound is a little bit less out of control. Gate inputs have been added to control the characteristics of the sound from a sequencer (but not its pitch). Potentiometers description: * POT1: Main pitch. Controls the 2 main oscillators at the same time, with lovely imperfections so they drift a bit out of tune. * POT2: Filter. Simple 2nd order low-pass filter for muffled sound. * R1: Rhythm. Controls the speed of the on/off LFO. * R2: Detune. Detunes one oscillator from the base frequency. Tracks poorly when combined with POT1, which adds character. * R3: Character. Modulates the sound of the main oscillator, which sounds somewhat like FM or a resonant filter depending on the other settings. Switches/gates description: * Rhythm gate/switch: Turns on/off the LFO * OSC2 gate/switch: Turns on/off the second oscillator * Octave switch: Select the oscillator octave. C4-C6 determines the octave for OSC2 and C7-C9 determines the octave for OSC1. * Note gate/switch: Main output gate. * Note on button: Forces playing a note. Put a momentary push button here for rhythmic inspirations.
