Description
This pcb can be used to further enhance the Velleman K2645 Geiger Müller Counter which in its original form has only a peizo beeper output.
The circuit normalizes the logic levels of the detector output and then interfaces the data with an LED indicator and Counter Module
in addition to the pre-existing peizo beeper.
The count data from the Velleman K2645 Geiger Müller Counter can be totalized over any time interval of the user's choosing by connecting the Counter Module terminal on the pcb to pin 4 (the NPN input) of a YF-16 Mini LCD Digital Counter Module.

The Counter Module can be reset to zero at any time to re-initialize the process that generates a running total.
The 9v power supply required for the Counter Module can be resourced from the K2645 pcb.
The K2645 Geiger Müller Counter is discontinued, but there is a download available at:
https://www.velleman.eu/downloads/0/assembly/assembly_manual_k2645.pdfhttps://www.velleman.eu/downloads/0/assembly/assembly_manual_k2645.pdf
The Assembly Manual includes details of the schematic and an overhead view of the component layout of the K2645.
There is a reproduction of the Velleman K2645 Geiger Müller Counter that has been published with the permission of Velleman Group nv, Gavere, Belgium which can be accessed online:

The pcb has been made available to the general public, so although production of the original has been discontinued by Velleman, it is still possible for electronics constructors to build the reproduced version.
