Description

Project Description:

Fool-style 8-port Gigabit switch, plug and play.

A switch (also known as a switching hub) is a network device used for forwarding electrical (optical) signals. It can provide an exclusive electrical signal path for any two network nodes connected to the switch. The role of a switch can be understood as connecting some machines to form a local area network.

Open Source Agreement:

GPL3.0 agreement.

Project Related Functions:

Provides 8 10/100/1000M adaptive RJ45 ports, all ports can achieve line-speed forwarding;
Each port supports MDI/MDIX automatic flipping and duplex/rate auto-negotiation;
Supports IEEE 802.3x full-duplex flow control and Backpressure half-duplex flow control;
Plug and play, no management required.

Project Properties:

This project is made public for the first time and is my original project. The project has not won any awards in other competitions.

Project Progress:

2023-02-11: The schematic diagram and PCB have been designed, waiting for the next step of PCB and SMT physical verification.

2023-02-16: There is a problem with the schematic and PCB parts, waiting for the V1.1 board to be repaired.

2023-03-01: Due to the delay due to the contracted the novel coronavirus for the second time incident, it will be repaired in May.

2023-05-26: Both switchV1.1 and powerV1.1 have fixed known issues (final product)

2023-05-31: Released as open source.

Regarding configuring it as a fool-proof switch, you only need: STRP_DISAUTOLOAD=1.

Just configure the other pins casually, depending on your needs, such as:

Compress the PCB to 10x10CM , so that everyone can enjoy it for free and enjoy it alone, not as much as everyone!

The chips of switches are relatively simple, and you only need to be able to read the datasheet.

Just be able to read the datasheet.

Just be able to read the datasheet.

Say important things three times! Thanks!

Software Description:

Design Considerations:

Just be able to read the datasheet.

You can read my articles first, they are all about switches.

Speed test description: Due to the campus network and the self-designed 100M USB network card , the speed test rate is only 50M. In fact, it can run at full Gigabit ! ! ! (There was no problem when I tested the 24/7 switch at home during the summer vacation, but I didn’t take any videos. Now I’m back to school to make up for the speed test video)
