Before the open source Starlight 2, Starlight 4, Starlight 4P was used by too many people for personal gain, and some people took away the matching model motor, resulting in many brothers who want to reproduce can not reproduce, so the version design of a new model motor was updated, in order to maintain the beauty and convenience of assembly, a new model and matching circuit board were designed, so that more people can reproduce the mini laser engraving machine, experience the fun of DIY, and it is still a low-cost solution

When printing, the two parts of the card motor screw need to improve the printing quality to ensure accuracy, it is recommended to lower the layer height below 0.15, slow down the printing speed, the material commonly used PETG, PLA can be, I usually use PETG to print, because the toughness is good, other parts can be printed according to the usual habits (0.2 layers high, 3 layers of wall thickness, 15% filling, 3 layers of top and bottom), only the bracket that fixes the laser head needs to add support, and other prints do not need to be supported; Another point to pay attention to is that due to the existence of the Z seam, the hole of the optical axis, I will use a 3.1mm drill bit to boring after printing to ensure the accuracy and finish, and the brother who does not have a drill bit needs to use the optical shaft to poke it several times at that time, and then assemble it after smoothing, if it is not smooth, it will lead to moving stuck!

Regarding the list of components on the circuit board, because some components are not found in the component library, so the BOM list is inaccurate, I provide you with an accurate list of components, and you can also explore the principle of the circuit by yourself, intuitive and simple, and the detailed list is sent to the attachment

9. 1/4W plug-in resistor, 47Ω one, 100K two, (unit price 0.01 one, but usually 1 yuan 100 so sold)

A4988 stepper motor driver × 2, the unit price is 3-3.5 yuan a, the cost of two is 7 yuan, you can buy one more spare, individual drives can not be used (related electronic components can be found to buy, save freight, wholesale components are usually low unit price, no free shipping, will not be repeated below)
15. Data cable, about 0.5 yuan a piece, some of the development version is sold together with the data cable, decide for yourself
The above are all the components required for the motherboard, and the cost is about 23 yuan
The following are the other parts you need to assemble a mini laser engraving machine
1. The laser head is 5V250 milliwatts, with a diameter of 12 mm (plus a freight of about 26 yuan, tb, Sanwu Electronics has a 5V head, there is no cooperative relationship, just convenient for everyone to find)
2. Laser goggles (buy one separately for almost 3 yuan, buy one more for almost 1 piece, search dark green welding glasses, it is recommended to have dark color, good protective effect, PDD2-3 yuan can buy free shipping, don't buy it with the laser head, they can't wear glasses)
3. Data cable (you can match the data interface of the development board, the cost of the development board is calculated to the motherboard, in fact, you can buy it with the development board, almost 5 cents, and there is also a development board with C port, which is the same as the mobile phone data cable)
4. A set of frames (the model STL file has been uploaded, you can print it yourself if you have a printer, the cost of materials is a few dollars, if you don't have a printer, you can refer to my hand-rubbing tutorial, or find me to get the frame and a full set of parts and finished products, ps: manual people's thin profit path)
5. Supporting screws - Starlight 4PO matching screws: M3 * 6 two, M2.5 * 10 four, M2.5 * 8 ten, M2 * 4 six, M2 * 8 two, no nut (worth a few cents), (in addition to the screws used to fix the fan, mentioned in the above calculation of the motherboard, M3 * 14 screws 2, M3 nuts two)
6. There are 2 micro stepper motors× 58mm long screw, pitch 3mm, there are many dismantling factories selling on Xianyu, about 2 yuan a, but they are not free shipping, it is dismantled from the Samsung computer optical drive, and you can find a lot of "Starlight 4S supporting motor" directly (no cooperative relationship!) At present, there are 12 yuan to sell 3 packages of freight, and the details are communicated by themselves
7. Motor cable: This uses FPC flexible cable, which is closed into the motherboard
8. THE STAINLESS STEEL OPTICAL SHAFT IS 3MM IN DIAMETER, 10CM LONG, 50 CAN BE BOUGHT FOR 7 YUAN, BUT ONLY 4 PIECES ARE NEEDED TO ASSEMBLE A SET, I HAVE BEEN PREPARING KITS FOR A LONG TIME, SO I BUY MORE, YOU CAN ALSO FIND OUT IF THERE IS RETAIL
9. Grease (butter is fine, but I use the grease of the 3D printer, maybe you can apply some other lubricating oil, no lubrication is not smooth)
10. Power supply 12V2A power supply (about 5 yuan a), the power supply port should be 5.5*2.1 or 2.5, in order to match with the DC female port of the motherboard, use 2A is to consider the false standard of the power supply, and 0.5A is enough if it is not false
After all the materials, the cost of the whole set of materials for the reproduction is about 80 yuan, note that this is the cost of the materials for your own reproduction! The tutorial is recorded for free, the software is also open source, the information is shared free of charge, and there is no other paid content, it is recommended that everyone do it themselves, which is more cost-effective and more interesting
