Hi –

I have been using the Standard version for the last 3-4 years but have switched over to try the PRO version, especially since the latest design is very large and Standard cannot keep up.

There are a few things in the Pro version that are yet not working, however I know you are still working out things and adding features.

There is one feature that is crucial from day one that I cannot seem to get working.

I am using the Client version on Windows 10 and using the latest version 2.1.51.

When trying to snap a Via to the center of a PAD, it does not snap to the center IF you grab a via that is already located on your canvas..

If you click the via tool and then move your mouse over the pad, it will snap to the center of the pad. But that is the only way it will do it. Lets say you have replaced your compoenent from a 0603 size to a 0805 and you are using via-in-pad for your VCC and GND connections. As the footprint changed, you need to drah the VCC and GND vias to the new locations of the pads of the larger 0805 footprint. That does not work, it will not snap.

I have attached a short video that display the issue and it also show the settings for the EasyEDA PRO application which clearly shows that I have selected to snap to center of pad.

Correction, apperently you cannot add a video, which is too bad as it shows the via circling the pad without ever snapping to it.

In the EasyEDA STANDARD version, it always snaps to the center of any pad, by default.

Please instead see the 2 images showing the settings and the pad and via, which are of the same net.

Is this something you are aware of and will fix? Or, am I doing something wrong?

This feature is one of the most important in a CAD software so I would assume many people would have complained if this was an ongoing issue.

Can you please give some advise on this?

Thanks,

Michael
