Description
This is a simple and compact power supply board designed around the BP2525F IC. It is capable of converting a wide AC input voltage range—from 80V to 230V—into a stable 5V or 3.3V DC output, depending on your needs. The board is well-suited for low-power embedded applications, IoT devices, or any project that requires a small and efficient AC to DC conversion without relying on bulky transformers or large external adapters.
The design focuses on minimizing size while maintaining safety and functionality. The BP2525F is a non-isolated buck converter chip specifically designed for high-voltage AC inputs. It integrates a high-voltage power MOSFET, control circuitry, and feedback components to offer a compact solution with fewer external parts.
The input side of the circuit includes a standard bridge rectifier and input capacitor, which help to smooth the AC input and provide a steady DC voltage to the converter. The output capacitor ensures clean and stable voltage delivery to the load. Both input and output capacitors are intended to be mounted folded over the bridge rectifier and other nearby components, allowing the overall board height to remain low. This approach helps make the board suitable for enclosure in small or flat cases, such as wall-mounted or embedded devices.
Mounting holes are included for easy installation, and the board layout has been optimized to reduce EMI and improve thermal performance. While the BP2525F is designed for non-isolated applications, proper spacing and PCB layout considerations have been made to enhance safety. Additionally, optional resistors and jumpers may be used to select the desired output voltage.
Overall, this board is an efficient, low-cost, and compact solution for converting mains voltage to a low DC voltage in space-constrained designs.
