Description

Description

Step down AC voltage from +27V to +24V.  Line smoother to prevent ringing with AC Pump Start Relay.

 

A common issue with irrigation pump start relays being located too close to the controller which introduces EMI noise during initial 60A in-rush current that causes relays to quickly latch and unlatch.  This should hopefully solve the issue by dropping the 27VAC+ source to 24VAC nominal with a voltage divider and smooth any AC line ringing with a heavy duty shunt resistor.
