Description
Development board for use with a breadboard, based on the NXP microcontroller, model LPC-845, with 64KB of flash and 16KB of RAM.
It uses a GPS to obtain the GPS position, date, and time through the system.
An RTC is included to provide the date and time when the GPS is off.
This is part of the development of a weather station, for which a light sensor, barometric pressure sensor, and temperature sensor are included. The rest of the sensors—wind direction, north crossing, airspeed, fog, rain, and rainfall level—are also part of the system.
Data that is not collected by this board will be gathered by other boards that, by design, will be placed in different locations. The I2C bus will be used as the central communication system, and for this reason, this board will be responsible for capturing the date, light, temperature, and pressure. It will operate as a slave in relation to the system, and in master mode to access the sensors on the board.
External communication will be handled via the web, using a Wi-Fi module.
