Description
The PCB was made to mainly house the transistors for the valves. Next to the transistors and the necessary resistors, we also placed the voltage divider resistors for the pressure and temperature sensor.
Note:
The big transistors have smaller transistors (logic level converters) in front of them to increase the voltage from 3v3 to 5v to reduce the on-resistance of the big transistors so they get less hot.
Suggestion:
I would suggest to use a contactor that opens and closes from a LV control signal from the controller to open and close the contactor instead of the transistors. The transistors get way too hot. Then you dont need the big and small transistors.
So in the end you need:
-
One valve module to open and close the OTV with the correct requirements or a better current sensor.
-
Two contactors for both valves with a digital signal from the controller, that open or close the 12V line to the valves. The valves need PWM so you still need transistors if you dont use a valve module.
-
Two resistors for the voltage divider for the pressure regulator (if you have a controller than can handle 5V, this is not needed).
-
One resistor as reference value for the OTV temperature sensor. Maybe you can use a built in pulldown or pullup resistor where you know the value as the reference value.
