Description
I designed this power supply based on the universal power supply from diyaudio store, using components that are readily available in Southeast Asia, where I am from. The bleeder resistors, R1 and R9, have values ranging from 4.7k to 22k, depending on the desired voltage output and the capacitance of the capacitors used. The higher the voltage output and capacity of the capacitors, the larger value resistors are required. R2 to R6 and R10 to R14 are Pi resistors with a value of 0.47 to 1 ohm. R7 and R15 are LED drop resistors with a value of around 4.7k to 10k. R8 and R16 are output resistors with a value of 1 ohm. For the snubber caps, I used Elna LAO series 10,000 microfarad 80V. Please refer to the datasheet for space requirements if you are not using the same capacitors. The bridge rectifier used is GBPC3510W, chosen for its easy availability as a second-hand component and its affordable price of less than 1 USD (original Vishay!) at least in Indonesia.
