# ESP32 Vario for XCSoar An ESP32-based variometer that transmits sensor data in the OpenVario NMEA format to XCSoar via Wi-Fi (TCP Client) or an USB-OTG cable. ## Compatibility XCSoar can be installed on an Android device or a Kobe tablet, the latter offers better screen readability in direct sunlight. ## Functionality XCSoar uses the received data to calculate essential flight information, including wind speed, direction, and more. ## Code Availability The code for the ESP32 will be written in Rust using the esp-rs library and will be published on a GitHub repository once it reaches a working state. ### ⚠️ Important note ⚠️ > **This project is still under early development and has not been tested yet.**
