Description
A 4 layer FTDI (USB to serial) breakout similar to the FTDI Basic 3.3V board. Used for uploading sketches with autoreset (e.g. to Arduino Pro Mini) and serial monitor.
The FTDI chips are rated for max 50mA on the 3.3V pin, so this board has its own 3.3V voltage regulator (XC6220), which has enough power for running many projects while working on them, including displays, LEDs etc. The PTC fuse limits the current to 500mA.
It also has a switch to turn the 3.3V power supply on/off
Note that USBD+ and USBD- are routed wrong. They have the same length, but the distance between the tracks is more or less random. But it works.
