**Replacement Regulator for the Virtual Boy** 04/14/2021 - Untested - Updated design to use the Power Good pin of the regulator instead of a RC delay, and measured the PG signal of original regulator. 10/15/2020 - Untested - New Switching Regulator Design. Drop in design for simplicity. Cost Breakdown: - LCSC Parts Price ~$7 USD + Ship - JLCPCB PCB Price ~$4 USD + Ship Stock PCB is approx 17.75mm x 13.75mm, and this replacement is 17.78mm x 14.61mm so their wont be any clearance issues. Details of stock input power: - 10v DC @ 850ma from Stock Power Adapter (SNES Adapter) - 9v from 6x AA Batteries. Regulator Details: - Input: 7v-17v DC - Output: 5v DC @ 1.5A Peak - Efficiency: @9-10v input, output load of 125mA - 1.5A the regulator IC provides ~90% efficiency. (Less any component losses) - Based on the Texas Instruments - TPS62112 Switching Regulator. Feel free to comment with any suggestions or if you have made on and tested it out, that would be great.
