Description
PoE (Power over Ethernet) to USB 5V adapter. Current use cases: - Power micro controllers (Arduino's or Pbpi's) PoE Switch --> **PoE to USB** --power--> Rbpi Switch ------------Data----------------> Rbpi (There is still a second Ethernet cable needed for data over cable.) - Charge your Phone or other USB devices - Trying to support 802.3af Future plans: - Add a way to redirect Ethernet data to powered devices (putting this block between a PoE switch and Rbpi, while also powering the Rbpi) PoE Switch --> **PoE to USB** --power--> Rbpi .................... **PoE to USB** --data--> Rbpi - Trying to support 802.3at This is a follow-up on my first Proof of Concept experiment in an attempt to learn myself how to make PCB's and all related knowledge needed. Remember that I have no idea what I'm doing what however, but I try my best ;). My goal for this project is : - Experience!!! - Having a very flexible module for different use cases. - Power loads of Arduino(-ish) sensors in my home.
