Description

WLED Micro USB-C

WLED Micro, is the smallest and most portable ESP32-powered WLED controller I’ve built so far, is perfect for mobile LED setups, cosplay, wearables, small decorations, and battery-powered projects!

Ultra-Compact Design: same WLED power, now in a tiny footprint.
🔌 USB-C Power Input: plug it into any USB-C power bank, wall adapter, or portable battery.
Supports 5V LED Strips: ideal for WS2812B, SK6812, and other 5V addressable LEDs.
📡 Wi-Fi & OTA Updates: configure your effects wirelessly and update firmware with zero hassle.
💡 Smooth Animations & Effects: full WLED experience in a micro-sized board.

Built for Portability

Whether you're powering it from a power bank, a USB-C battery pack, or a compact USB charger, WLED Micro lets you create light wherever you go. Perfect for:

  • Cosplay props
  • LED poi/staff setups
  • Holiday decorations
  • Backpack/room accents
  • Quick demos and prototyping

⚠️ Important Information

  • The board is designed for 5V LEDs only and a MAXIMUM current of 2A (be sure to set 2000 mA in app).
  • The USB-C input powers both the ESP32 and the LEDs directly — there’s no step-up or step-down converter on board for LEDs (only a small LDO for ESP 3.3V line).
  • Make sure your USB-C battery or power adapter can supply enough current for your LED strip (WS2812B can draw up to ~60 mA per LED at full white).
  • Avoid exceeding your power bank’s current limit to prevent shutdown

⚙️ Installer website:

https://install.wled.me/

Just connect the USB-C into the board, push down the BOOT button while plugging in the USB into your PC, release it after that and proceed to install the wled app (be sure to select the correct USB COM port).
