Description
This is a macropad called GOTO and is based on the ProMicro board. It has five keys that can be configured through programming in the Arduino IDE that will speed up access to different specific functions that normally require the use of a key combination.
It also has programmable LED lighting for each key individually and it connects to computer via USB-MicroUSB cable.
Since I made this design thinking about being able to reuse the ProMicro board, it is inserted into the board using a pair of sockets which allows it to be removed for use in other projects but at the same time makes the case rise making a low-key macropad.
Both the housing and the keys are 3D printed using PLA filament for the entire structure and using TPU filament only for the base studs.
Mounting:
1. Solder the components to the PCB. It is advisable to do this in the following order: ProMicro socket, resistors, switches and LEDs.
2. 3D print the parts: top case, bottom case, five key caps and two studs.
3. Insert the four nuts using the soldering iron.
4. Assemble the parts and close the casing with the screws.
5. Glue the base plugs, hiding the screws.
6. Program board with Arduino IDE using MacroPad_v1.0.ino file. In this case the keys are programmed as follows:
Key1: Activates cropping tool
Key2: Cut and paste
Key3: Copy and paste
Key4: Minimize all (in Windows OS)
Key5: Save
