Spesifikasi asas bagi stesen pangkalan (base station) termasuk komponen seperti:
- Antena: Dapat menyokong pelbagai jalur frekuensi untuk penghantaran dan penerimaan isyarat.
- Transceiver: Mengendalikan penghantaran dan penerimaan data antara pengguna dan rangkaian.
- Kuasa Output: Bergantung kepada keperluan liputan, biasanya antara 10W hingga 40W.
- Sambungan Backhaul: Untuk menghantar data ke rangkaian teras, sama ada menggunakan gentian optik, gelombang mikro, atau satelit.
- Julat Frekuensi: Biasanya antara 700 MHz hingga 2.6 GHz untuk rangkaian selular (4G/5G).
Stesen pangkalan ini memastikan sambungan tanpa wayar antara peranti pengguna dan rangkaian pusat.
