Description

Florence RadiativE paSsive Cooling Open GIGA FRESCO-board is made for measuring temperature across passive/switchable radiative cooling samples. To this end, a development board based on Arduino GIGA R1 has been designed. FRESCO allows measuring multiple items including temperature drop, cooling power, solar irradiance, environmental parameters and sky IR temperatures. It allows transmitting all the data into a cloud platform through an onboard wifi/ ethernet connection.

 

A previos version (FRESCO) that exploits Arduino MEGA2560 has been well studied and publied at the following link https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=5132927. The paper has been accepted on Cell Reports Physical Science and it will be avaiable free to read very SOON, Stay Tuned!!

 

The FRESCO version based on Arduino MEGA2560 is well documented on https://github.com/GiuseppeELio/FRESCO-Board. These version has also been certified by OSHWA, you can see further details at the following page https://certification.oshwa.org/it000015.html

 

The next step on this project are:

-- 1/07/2025 PCB and Assembly ordered 

-- Presentation of the Assembled PCBs

-- Preparation of the new Firmware to manage the Tdrop and PCool using the emebedded screen and Wi-Fi. 

-- Presentation of FRESCO GIGA. (Before the end of the year).
