Description

This is a very simple switcher should be good all the way to 40vac max and 6vac min. Also, has resettable fuse and TVS device to hopfully protect the associated uController that is connected to this board. Currently, only rated for 700mA but I wanted to keep it simple and safe for a furnace control that is connected to 24vac rated transformer. This is an AC connected supply with bridge to make it DC.

I really did not have to change anything in this switcher and it is used in so many of my other projects as it is here. So I have now moved it to completed status. I love this thing in my furnace circuits because it can just connect to the 24vac lines and power up all the stuff I need. Yes it is low on the amps but for uCPS it is plenty and work well have had no failures other than the bridge. I would recommend a more powerful bridge rectifier if there is any chance that a short could happen. That is all that I changed after this design because it would blow if it shorted at all. So, with that I changed it to Goodwork's MB10S-A [C908752](https://www.lcsc.com/product-detail/Bridge-Rectifiers_GOODWORK-MB10S-A_C908752.html) and it has been solid ever since. Not to say the one in this will not work, just that it is sensitive to shorts that is all.
