Description
The project presented is a DC motor driver based on the L9110 chip, designed to control two DC motors or one bipolar stepper motor.
The module integrates two independent H-bridges, each capable of controlling motor direction and speed using digital or PWM signals from a microcontroller (such as ESP32, Arduino, etc.).
It features screw terminals for motor connections and a pin header for power supply and control signals, making it compact, easy to use, and ideal for small robots, RC vehicles, and educational projects.
The electrical schematic of the module is very simple: the L9110 IC is connected according to the standard configuration shown in the datasheet.
The control inputs include 10 kΩ pull-up resistors (R1, R2, R3, and R4) to ensure stable control signals. The supply voltage is filtered by C1 (10 μF) and C2 (1 μF) capacitors.
A power indicator LED (D1) with its current-limiting resistor R5 (1 kΩ) indicates the presence of the supply voltage.
On the motor output terminals, two additional 100 nF filtering capacitors (C3 and C4) are provided.
