Description

Breadboard friendly dev board for ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 modules

  • 4 layers
  • 37uA current in deep sleep (using ESP-IDF deep sleep example)
  • Voltage regulator maximum output current: 1000mA
  • PMOS for reverse polarity protection on VIN
  • Flashing through USB port works without seperate USB to UART IC
  • Arduino IDE compatible pin names for I2C and SPI

See https://oshwlab.com/Miraculix200/esp32-s3-mini for a 2 layer board circuit with lower current consumption

You may have to use RX/TX pins when flashing it for the first time. Connect GPIO 0 to GND to flash it. After that, when selecting "Hardware CDC and JTAG" mode in Arduino IDE, flashing over USB works without pulling GPIO 0 to GND.

Should work with all versions of the  ESP32-S3-WROOM-1, but some pins will not be useable on 8MB PSRAM versions

Names next to the pin numbers were taken from the Espressif Arduino IDE repository (the pictures show a previous version of the silkscreen, ignore)
