Description

Description

The controller chip is CH335F. Power of each port is controlled by CH217K. You may use uhubctl to control power of each port. So the power of each USB peripheral can be controlled by software.

R16 set the hub to work as Bus-powered. R15 set the hub to work as individual port control.

Note the hub will report as a 200mA device in bus-powered mode. So if the devices attached to hub require more than that, computer may refuse to initiate device. A EEPROM can be used to replace the 2 resistors to set all parameters in descriptor.

Here is also a 3D printed case for the board. The screw holes are designed to fit M3 counter-sunk machine screw. Depending on your machine accuracy, you may need to enlarge the hole with 2.5mm drill bit and tap M3 thread inside. Also the counter-sunk hole may need to be enlarged.
