Description

Compact BLE Beacon (CR2032) - Open Hardware

This project is a compact, low-power Bluetooth Low Energy beacon built around the Ebyte E104-BT52 module and powered by a CR2032 coin cell.

It is designed for practical manufacturing with EasyEDA Pro plus JLCPCB/LCSC, while keeping debug access and bring-up tooling first-class.

Design Highlights

  • Certified BLE module approach (integrated antenna, reduced RF layout risk).
  • CR2032-focused power design with local bulk and decoupling support for TX bursts.
  • Mandatory SWD programming interface: SWDIO, SWDCLK, RESET, VCC, GND.
  • UART test pads for AT-command bring-up and production checks.
  • 0402 minimum package policy for assembly and rework practicality.
  • 2-layer PCB optimized for low-cost fabrication.

Repository Contents

  • Schematic/netlist and PCB manufacturing outputs.
  • Firmware bring-up starter package:

                        - uart_smoke_test.py

                        - FIRMWAREREADME.md

Manufacturing and Bring-Up Intent

This board is intended for low-volume production and iterative validation. The workflow emphasizes:

  • Deterministic SWD/UART access on every revision.
  • Explicit power/current constraint checks.
  • Documented decisions and reproducible handoff state.

Current Status

The current revision is suitable for continued bring-up and open review.

Contributions, issue reports, and hardware validation feedback are welcome.
