Description
This project presents a smart, touchless waste bin system based on the ESP32 microcontroller. The system automatically opens the bin lid using a stepper motor when a user approaches within a predefined distance detected by an ultrasonic sensor. In addition to contactless operation, the system continuously monitors the fill level of the bin and uploads real-time data to a Firebase cloud database. The bin level can be remotely monitored through a mobile application, which also generates alerts when the bin is full. The goal of the project is to improve hygiene, convenience, and waste management efficiency using IoT technology.
